The Gallup Q12 Programme is an integrated system of evidence-based measurement, education, action planning and consulting that is proved to improve key clinical, operational and financial outcomes. Understanding the Pivotal Roles of Leaders and Managers
Organisations don't have just one culture; they have as many cultures as they have managers. Gallup's research shows that employee engagement levels are greatly influenced by manager relationships. Recognising this, Gallup performed a large research effort entailing in-depth interviews with more than 80,000 leaders and managers. This research provided insights into the characteristics of great leaders and managers and, more importantly, specifically identified what it is that great managers do differently. These discoveries are included in Gallup's Q12 programme. They are also extensively discussed in the book: First, Break All the Rules. Gallup's solution integrates worker engagement measurement with individualised instruction for leaders and managers. Other approaches typically provide one or the other of these components - but not both.
